At Semis while waiting for the ageout ceremony (supporter, not member, of another corps), I was able to seek out and congratulate the trumpet soloist in Immortal. I told her she played beautifully, and that I reacted emotionally to her playing and to the ballad and reprise. Cadets had one of the best two ballads in 2023, if not the best. Thank you, Cadets, for one of the best moments in 2023.

Nice list. ‘\\\ were also undefeated (7-0) vs. Blue Stars in 2023. Understandably not included in your list due to Blue Stars placing 11th and the point spread between the two, it was only three seasons ago, on 7/10/2018, that ‘\\\ outscored Blue Stars for the first time in World Class. And, with Blue Stars outscoring ‘\\\ the next 28 times (1-9 in 2018, 0-11 in 2019, 0-8 in 2022) and placing ahead those three years (8th, 8th, 7th), the 2023 head-to-head is noteworthy.
