Even over the Computer, they just threw down! Carolina Crown. Best overall concept and design this year. And just a blast to watch. "William Tell" is just a hoot! Any Year? 1989 Phantom Regiment. kadune
Sans opening and beginning of closer (as per pre-finals week), Cadets are one of my favorite shows, but Coats definitely take the pie for me.
WMUBrass
out of the ones i actually saw in person: 1. Cavaliers (Belding, MI & Kalamazoo, MI) their show was good both times. great arrangements of billy joel music. fun to watch. 2. Bluecoats (Kalamazoo, MI) original, entertaining and great sounding. dont forget about that contra line. 3. Blue Stars (Belding, MI) awesome. loud and good sounds. great opening statement. so much improvement and great uniforms. 4. Colts (Belding, MI) very nice brass. creative visual work
nctarheels05
Tonight's performances will wrap up the 2007 DCI Season, and it's pretty safe to say that, both commonsensically and quantitatively, the 7th place show will be the best in DCI history. This years' scores notwithstanding, I'd have to say that my favorite show that didn't place too well would be 2004 Crossmen (11th place). That show had some of the catchiest music and quite possibly the most beautiful ballad I've ever heard. What's yours? i agree with the crossmen show, i think it was voted best ballad on DCP in 04. i agree w/ crown, just not the BEST in dci ever.
