Got Foo? Calling all Trumpet Players, Instrumentalists

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone!

Thought this would be a really neat opportunity for drum corps members, fans, friends and musicians.

Here's a cool chance to play "The Pretender" with Foo Fighters live at the Grammys

If you are a band director this might be something great to tell your students about!

Oh boo hoo. And I love how DCI excludes woodwinds. The line has to be drawn somewhere. And actually he says we're not looking for drummers, he didn't say anything about percussionists. So you could play marimba or vibes or even timpani if you wanted... worth a shot I think.

This is pretty sweet. I'm gonna play on this! Do you have to of school age though?

Contestants per the rules have to be at least 18 by Jan 3, 2008

Instruments they are looking for are:

Strings (Viola, Violin, Cello, Upright (double) Bass); Woodwinds (Bassoon, Clarinet, Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Baritone Saxophone); and Brass (Trombone, Trumpet/Flugelhorn, French Horn).

yup. i read the rules to make sure

And I don't think a clarinet would fit into the bugle category in drum and bugle corps...
