Jeff Ream
well now narration can be replaced by sound clips...so it's just as bad, just not spoken live
Martybucs
Yes, all true.... and of course by your defintion of ' a horn ', ie " blow into it, males a sound "...... we include " saxaphone " as " a horn " too. ( not discussing it's use or non use by Drum Corps here, that's for another time, another thread... just that by this definition a saxophone would be " a horn ".) I don't do that...not that there's anything wrong with that....
camel lips
We can keep beating on the drum about the multi-key rule. (I wasn't around for that change, and I'm just playing by the rules now in place.)Or we can keep our eyes on the ball and draw a line at woodwinds and amps. You are missing the point. The same arguments that were used for Bb WILL be the same arguments WHEN DCA goes to electronics. Its called SPIN Its gonna happen. Its just a matter of when. Remember,,its for the children. Alumni corps here I come. Edited July 14, 2009 by camel lips

Too surmise. It won't happen over night but it will happen when one day you step onto the field without tubas and tune to the synthesizer. Now off to the heavy petting zoo! camel lips
There's no rule against amps, in Alumni Corps. I think you may have misinterpreted my meaning of Alumni corps here I come. Im getting old.I cannot keep pace with the Direction DCA is going with the visual programs and I do have certain values when it comes to tradition in drum corps. When the day comes that Electronics or woodwinds hit DCA.I am gone and will join a Alumni corps. Hope that clears that up.
Martybucs
There's no rule against amps, in Alumni Corps. ...just no self respecting alumni corps would be caught dead using them.
