and by August, really, you shouldnt be using it at all

we practice REALLY love the Dr. Beat :huh:

it has a place. however people overuse and then members dont know how to perform without it.

you dont do a show with it, so why on earth do you need to rehearse ALL DAY with it?

I agree with 100%. Dr Beat should be used for learning music. To make sure its played at the tempo written/designed. It can also be used when learning drill.......how fast do I need to move my feet to get from point A to B...that sort of thing. After that, get it off the field. Performers need to know how to do the show without it and how to listen around for each component.

Personally, once the drill was down, I found it distracting from my rehearsal efforts because when its too close, it rips your ears off. Hard to concentrate when you're a) deaf and b) p..#^%^%#d off with the annoyance.
