SBrancheau Posted May 12, 2003 Share Posted May 12, 2003 (edited) A correction: "Just High School Marching Band" should be "Just Marching Band (high school and/or college) I was just in marching band (high school and college) because Winter Guard hadn't gotten a foothold yet and I couldn't afford Drum Corps. I had the opportunity to march Menagerie (Salem, Indiana), but I was a year too old. *sigh* So I helped with makeup and uniforms, cleaning, marching holes at rehearsals, etc. I wanted to march sooo bad! deftguy Posted May 16, 2003 Share Posted May 16, 2003 Marching Band, Winterguard, and Drum corps. Got into drum corps because my high school band was like drum corps. No woodwinds in parades, or on the field. Our whole band setup mimicked drum corps from no woodwinds, and drum corps instrumentation on the field or in parades, down to bingo on Monday, Wednesday and friday. Marched drum corps for 8 years, Marching band for 7 years, and Winterguard for 7 years. From the time I was 10 y/o until I was 21 y/o my blood was saturated with colorguard.
