kusankusho
Oh man - the scores stall just as it's getting to the part I'm sweating on. Ain't it always the way.....
kusankusho
I wish I could see Music City's show. I have heard it is pretty traditional and has some high step. I miss seeing high step...LOLI really used to especially enjoy a drum major who could effectively high mark time and conduct. Yeah - Kevin was saying it was pretty old school in his Dayton report. I'd like to see these guys. I wonder if the old school thing is hurting them with the judges at all?
kikitiki
I believe the Michigan City provides all the corps with a police escort! My corps (Beatrix') also got an escort last year and I remember hearing every corps got that. It's great though, especially if you have to drive a little further and you don't want to have the risk getting stuck in a traffic jam! Did you march last year? My daughter said that VK and Beatrix shared a housing site at some point during the tour last year and got along great!!

I wonder if the old school thing is hurting them with the judges at all? I wouldn't think so if the show met all the scoring guidelines (whatever they may be) and is played and marched cleanly.... danieltenor
Yeah I marched, in the tenorline! We actually shared a housing for the quarterfinals. Because of a thunderstorm in the area, we couldn't rehearse outside, so we decided to play for each other in the gym. It was a great night and we did get along great! danieltenor
Yes we are! We currently have the summer off (that's how things work in Europe). In September we're going for the second part of our season, leading up to the DCEurope Finals on the last Saturday of September. We are still in the hunt for the title, so it's very exciting! And of course I am very lucky to be able to follow the DCI competition during the summer when we don't rehearse!
kusankusho
Music City 79.45 Wow! Nice comeback from the Dayton score. I guess you were right Orch! Great first season - these guys should be very proud.
