We are excited to announce the staff for the 2009/2010 season. Tony Shuker – Caption Head Tony has been involved in the marching percussion idiom since 1987 and has been a member of both the Kiwanis Kavaliers (1990-1994) and The Cavaliers. (1995-1997) During his marching career he has won several solo and ensemble awards including 1st place in the Ontario Drum Corps Association from 1990-1994 in various categories and 1st in the mutli-tenor category at the DCM I&E in 1995 and 2nd place at the DCI I & E during the same year. He has been on the percussion staff for the Kiwanis Kavaliers from 1998-1999, S.P.Y.E winter percussion 1998,1999, 2001 and the Phantom Regiment from 2000-2002. Tony is also a staff member of the North Coast Academy percussion ensemble and has been so since 2003. Tony has his Honours B.A. in music from McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario and his teaching certificate from The University of Windsor. Currently he is a music teacher at Frontenac Public School in Burlington Ontario. The whole Conqueror II organization is looking forward to working with Tony, and is looking forward to this up coming season Tony will be working with Ian Hercules our Bass Tech and Brian Graiser will be returning this year to work with the pit this season. We have also added two new people to our design team. Joe Shuker – Battery and Pit Arranger Joe Shuker has been involved in the marching percussion scene since 1987, when he was 7 years old. He has worked with numerous groups in Canada and the United States. His ability to teach and write for a wide range of ages and abilities has made him a sought after arranger for Drum Corps, Indoor percussion ensembles and Marching Bands. He owns and operates his own production company 2rl Productions, and is an active Percussionist in the Greater Toronto Area. His Clinics are of the highest quality and students leave with a greater understanding of the concepts required to perform at a higher level. ”I am extremely excited to work with EPIC for the 2009/2010 season. Caption Head and Arranger • 2002 Magic of Orlando DCI Div 2 champion Percussion Section • 2003 – 2008 NorthCoast Academy Instructor/Consultant (2003 WGI independent Open Champions) • 2008-2009 DutchBoy Drum Corps Arranger/Caption Head • 2009/2010 NorthCoast Academy Ensemble Co-Ordinator William Lee – Visual Designer Will started marching Drum Corps when he was 14 years old and continued until he aged out. He marched in all 3 former divisions of DCI (Div I, II & III) and even one year in the ODCA-only Division IV. Since aging out, he has taught and written several Drum Corps and Winter Guard shows, including 2 third place finishes and one second. His crowning achievement to date is the 2007 Dutch Boy drill program entitled 2007: A Space Odyssey, which placed 3′rd and earned the Spirit of Disney award. Will lives in Kitchener, Ontario.
