JimF-LowBari
Hope Frank doesn't mind the piggyback here.... Anyone intersted in rudimental drumming might want to check out a local TV clip about Bob Zarfoss who was with the Air Force DC in Washington, DC. I'm not a drummer but Bob says the word "rudimental" so I guess that's what he's demonstrating. Last I looked the link was still on www.hanoverlancers.com. Can't check right now as I'm on lunch break at work and the site is blocked. Edited October 30, 2009 by JimF-3rdBari
ironlips
Bob Zarfoss was part of that extraordinary Air Force Drum and Bugle Corps line that also featured John Flowers, Rodney Goodheart an so many others who went on to instruct and judge an entire generation of percussion specialists like De Lucia and Sanford, who passed the torch to Cassella, Hannum and the other contemporary masters. In fact, John Dowlan, who is prominently featured on the program, was the AFD&B Corps percussion instructor during those years. Rudimental? Yes, and then some.
