I know in the '91 video you can see a little dirt pile and the plastic bag on the turf of the Cotton Bowl. gigiandjim Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Alot of people do not understand how Historic the Manning Bowl was to Drum Corps I know I am from the area BUT....expecially in the late 60's throught the late 70's It WAS THE MECCA for Drum Corps.. The World Open where you had a week of Drum corps all classes. pluse many corps Home show. North Star/27th /BAC/Arbella/and many local class A/B/C corps.... as run down as it got It was HOME... I grew up at the top of the hill and remember hearing the Corps and My mother having to bring me there for prelims I must have been 5 years old.
