I’m ashamed to admit this is our 7th year attending the World Class finals and I’ve never attended an Open Class event…. My son aged out in ’09 so for the first time I don’t have to worry about being a parent (washing uniforms at 5am on the morning of finals, frantically collecting luggage, Gatorade runs, etc). Open Class Finals sounds like a perfect way to fill the void… You will not regret this choice. I was last at finals live in 2006 and got my son out of bed a 6 a.m. to drive to Madison for finals day. We had tickets for Finals already, but we planned on going to OC finals. Tickets were $10 for 12 corps. Pretty much the bargain of the week! And it was a phenomenal show from start to finish...each corps great and better than the last corps we saw. Stands were in the shade and we ate us up some good drum corps.
