Blaritone
If you play tuba you can pretty much march wherever you want
jonnyboy
There has always been a sub-culture of marcher that waits until spring in order to avoid winter camps and paying a full share of dues. Back in the late 80s we picked up the same two brothers at the first show of the season, the last year they showed with their bags packed. MelloHorn13
Noone here want to here it, but if he have no corps experience at all, He should consider Open Class to get his feet wet. It's so much easier to advance up to World Class, in my opinion. JMO, I know there are many (esp band directors) that recommend their students to Open Class. BozzlyB
Soooo this thread is for the Brett Favre's of the drum corps world? Drum corps is a commit to it 100% or don't do it at all kind of activity. While your student may be able to walk into a lower tier brass line in May, I think encouraging him to attend winter and helping him find a way to accomplish that is extremely important, and would ultimately be to his and his corps benefit.
