BoyWonder1911
Middleton, WI is a very large, very expensive city. Over a million people live in Middleton, and I don't think you will be able to find a motel for cheaper than $150 in a bad part of town. In all seriousness, you can use Google, or Expedia, or Travelocity to find hotels/motels. Try Googling hotel or motel, then click on Map, then zoom in around the Middleton, WI area and look at all the red balloons, then hover over each of them and make phone calls. Look at reviews, too. It isn't hard to do things on your own, no one is going to "till" you a cheap hotel.
INSIDETHEFORTY
Do a PRICELINE search for rooms. July 9, 2011, Madison, WI, one night After the list comes up, type in the address for the Stadium 2100 Bristol St. Middleton, WI 53562 hit GO! PRICELINE will give you a list of Hotels near the Stadium and prices. To save more money, Use the "Name your own price" option. You should be able to get a 2-star or 3-star room for under $50.00! Enjoy!
BoyWonder1911
This reminds me of the first time I came down to Indy in 2002 for the regional competition here at the old RCA Dome. I got a real cheap motel room somewhere in a shady part of town. It smelled badly and there were "undesirables" walking around. Just make sure when you do get a room, make sure it is not in a bad part of town. I would risk a lot for DCI but not risk someone popping a cap in my * over it. INSIDETHEFORTY
Would someone please help me? I don't know that area very well. I was there in 2002 and 2006, but it was only for a week in August each of those years. Which of the Hotels listed below is in an "undesireable" part of town? The 2-star, 2 & 1/2-star, and 3-star Hotels below are the ones that are closest to the competition Stadium. The prices are from PRICELINE for the night of July 9th. STAYBRIDGE...................................$100.00 COUNTRY INN & SUITES...............$81.00 COURTYARD by MARRIOTT..........$119.00 HILTON GARDEN INN.....................$84.00 COMFORT SUITES.........................$114.00 FAIRFIELD INN................................$99.00 MARRIOTT......................................$129.00 In the "NAME YOUR OWN PRICE" option, if you use Middleton, WI (Area 5-Madison West) as your choice, you should be able to get one of these Hotels with a bid of $50.00 or less! However, if you don't want to "roll the dice", I suggest the Extended Stay America ($74.00) on the West side of Madison. It is less than 3 miles from the Stadium, just off the highway, and in a very good neighborhood! I used it as my INSIDE THE FORTY Hotel for 2002 and 2006!
