Eddie
This was an e-mail from my father who went and watched the West Covina show on Sunday, July 13th. He only goes to a show maybe once a year, but his opinions are always something else. Enjoy! It's monday, Hooray Playing field music without moving, kind of takes the fun. The Spanish music is really outstanding, I'm curious to see the drill and flag. Imagination is good, but Spanish dancing is something else. There was a group from San Francisco - a senior group with a bunch of old guys - nice job. good vs evil, the drum major was a young lady dressed in black leather - matrix. I think the music itself was good, the choice of music was better, though tears in heaven would not be my final choice for good -- maybe ode to Joy, I can see where Yamato affords a good opportunity for the Japanese kids, not only to compete, but experience the U.S. - it's a shame the whole group couldn't be here for two to three months, one thing for sure, you might outplay them, but you won't outwork them. Aloysius
What happened to the rest of the show? Did he fall asleep? -_-
Renegade_fireman
ya know this amazes me. whenever someone post a review of a drum corps show from another persons prospective, they always seem to remember the Renegades the most. like someone posted a concord review that their 8 year old son had given and he again had great things to say about us. I think that draws me more to renegades, The fact that u dont have to be a drum corps ethusiust to enjoy or even understand the Renegades. and to those who arent drum corp fans, we usually turn them into one. thats what i also loved about impulse! but they seem to be changing their ways.... I love my show, i love my Corps! Edited July 16, 2003 by Renegade_fireman
Eddie
What happened to the rest of the show?…A Did he fall asleep? Oh come on, my dad isn't even a drum corps person. He went to the show to enjoy his Sunday afternoon and to show Yamato support. I didn't even have to post it. He had 2 comments on 2 corps. I'm sorry if it wasn't yours. Be glad that he went. For crying out loud Edited July 16, 2003 by bari_benzo

I love my show, i love my Corps! My other son (who chose summer school this year rather than enter his first year of Corps, said "If i ever end up doing Senior Corps - that's the one I want" You were awesome - the music, the movement - and that part with the megaphones - too cool. Take this all the way to championships!! BR
