Kansan Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Prairie Sound Drum & Bugle Corps of Olathe, KS has joined Sound Sport DCI as an activity that will hopefully spark interest in our Corps and launch us toward DCA. The Sound Sport idea has been presented as easier for a smaller group like ours to participate in. Video performances with some live performances at DCI shows near our location in the Summer (we played the Star Spangled Banner at last years DCI show and will be doing so again July 15th, 2013). This gives us something to work on that is more oriented to Drum Corps Performances and does not require our corps to travel large distances. They say any instrumentation may be used. We will be using our 3 valve G Bugles and percussion. We are also talking about getting our Color Guard running again and including them in this project.
