N.E. Brigand
Saw this on DCI's corps news round-up for today: "Genesis has started a fundraising campaign to help offset the cost of unexpected repairs on the road during its summer tour." That led me to their Facebook page, where I read: We want to clear up any concern for our recent campaign for donations.Genesis is in NO WAY in financial troubles. We have had a few unexpected repairs come our way that have had an impact on our budgets this season. As any non profit organization, we operate on a very tight budget and watch our finances very closely. In addition we are constantly in need of donations and financial support in order to operate at this level. With the recent success and high level of performance our members have obtained we have had to increase our spending and we have had some unexpected expenses and simply want to ensure they have everything needed to finish at the highest level they deserve. We are trying raise an additional $5000 in order to recover the additional repair expenses that were not in the budget. This money will go towards the purchasing of the extras needed and will allow us to make sure that, should any other major issues happen, we can continue without a problem. Thank you all for your outpouring of support and concern, and we can assure you all is well in Oz and these kids will have an amazing end to their season! Musically, Chris Magonigal I look forward to seeing Genesis (and a souvenir tent or trailer where one can donate?) tomorrow night in Avon Lake.
