Bob "Mousie" Martello R.I.P. / Skyliner

Recommended Posts

Bob "Mousie" Martello passed away Early Sunday morning as a result of a massive stroke. He was 73.

Bob's history with the Skyliners goes back to the late 50s where he played french horn. Over the years, Bob has played and marched with

the Skyliners field corps and more recently with the Alumni corps. He has played french horn, as I mentioned, and also soprano, mellophone and even a baritone.

He played in whatever section he was needed. He has also been a member of both corps Honor Guards over the years.

He was always smiling and loved the corps, almost as much as his family. Every corps should have a guy like Mousie in their ranks. Never say die, always among the first

to volunteer for ANY task, anything to help his corps. He could usually be found in the possession of a winning hand either during the occasional poker game or black jack game used to pass the hours on the bus or during down time in Wildwood. He will enter the Pearly Gates in uniform. Godspeed, Mousie.

His obit and photo can be found at:

He will be missed very much by all who knew him.
