TomPeashey Posted November 17, 2013 Share Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) Saturday, November 16th, saw Heartliner from Ludwigshafen Germany celebrate their successful 2013 campaign at their annual banquet. Heartliner made their 2013 tour most memorable by becoming the first ever German corps to compete in the United States participating in DCA contests in Bridgeport, CT and Pennsauken, NJ as well as the DCA World Championships in Annapolis, MD. where they placed very well in Class A competition and were most impressive. They are well remembered by all who saw them. Through the miracle of communications, they were forced to sit through a few words of thanks and congratulations from this old drum corps war horse who participated via Skype. It was my pleasure. We can only hope that more of the "world's" corps are able to travel in the future and bring home the memories of a lifetime to their part of the world. Special congrats to the Heartliner management team for having the vision and drive to make their 2013 tour happen... FrankBeMe Posted November 18, 2013 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Heartliner ended their season on September 28 by placing ninth in Premier Class, the Europen version of DCA's open class, finals at the Drum Corps Europe championships. All three German corps in Premier Class made finals with Starriders placing seventh and Spirit of 52 placing tenth. Heartliner's 2014 show concept is Mythos.
