Does it really exist?

Recommended Posts

I have searched through almost all the resources I can find to see if there really is a product such as the one in the movie drumline that allows you to play on a drum, record it and print to paper (through a computer). I have found several that require an electronic drum pad through a synth, but none that are able to attach directly to the drum. Is there really such an item or is this another Hollywood invention. Please post if you have any thoughts or info.

I thought it was just a rolland acoustical trigger patched through a midi converter and pluged into a computer running either Sibelius or Finale. I just use a el-cheapo Casio LD80 and Finale 2000 for my drum scoring.
