Watchmen -- New corps from SoCal

Recommended Posts

It is my pleasure to announce that the Watchmen will be filing paperwork with DCI this spring to become an open class drum corps. We were proud of the show we put out last Summer as a part of DCI's Sound Sport circuit but we are excited to enter a new phase of evolution. For those who are not familiar with the Watchmen, we were formed last Spring and performed in exhibition at the Southern California Drum Corps International shows. Last year we performed a show of all original music with 50 eager and enthusiastic members. We are based in Riverside, California and we have a great staff of several local band directors and instructors. Our goals are to attract students who are eager to march but may not have the finances or time to march a touring corps. We keep our fees low by not touring outside of Southern California as well as having an all volunteer staff. We are looking to offer our students a great Summer experience with a high emphasis on educational and individual student improvement.

We will have an information open house this Sunday January 5th from 1pm until 3pm at Patriot High School in Jurupa Valley. At the information meeting students and parents will have the opportunity to meet the staff and board of directors, hear about the show concept, and hear about our performance and practice schedule. Our auditions will be on January 12th and 19th from 1pm to 7pm also at Patriot High School. Cost for the auditions will be $25 which will be transferred to a students tuition if they make the group.

Thank You,
