Good morning, and welcome to the Rochester Community Sports Complex Stadium, home of today’s Drum Corps Associates Alumni Spectacular! My name is Kevin Gamin, Managing News Editor for Drum Corps Planet, and I am here to bring you LIVE! From the Stands coverage of today’s event. The first group, Tri-Valley Brass, is already setting up on the field to perform in just 15 minutes, so make sure you’re joining me for all of the great performances we’re about to enjoy!

“Royal Garden Blues”, “Amazing Grace”, “Closer Walk to Thee”, and “When the Saints Go Marching In”.

And, yes, I finally got a program, so no more of this not knowing what the corps are playing.’

Nice light swing feel for Royal Garden Blues. Sections get to trade off a lick midway through the performance. Great energy from the group to start the day.

Trombone soloist, followed by a trumpet soloist who steps out from the ensemble to do his thing.

As the band vamps on the last part of the song, another trumpet solo steps out for a little extra oomph on the end.

Tri-Vally now moves into a moving arrangement of Amazing Grace. Mellophones open with the melody before passing it on to the trumpets.

Great bell tones by the mellophones leading into a change to 4/4 for the second half of the song.
