drummer1784
I guess the question is how experienced is the 15 yr old? If he has never marched before, then simply marching (with great technique) while playing a book of that calibure could be a challenge. immortal
i have marched in parades and stuff. i use the cavalier tecnique. i have transcribed 2001 bd tenor solo 2003 crossmen tenor solo, 2003 bd bass solo off the lot and alolt of stuff... i breezed threw the 2003 cavalier tenor exerpt but i never did the ONFIELD drills... drums were just pitted. just yesterday at my band compitition we revieved a perfect score for percussion no award due to the lack of money for the trophee. Crosstown Tornadoes
It will be tuff, But go and do it and see where you stand if you make it great if not march somewhere else to get the experience... The majority of it is attitude and the willingness to learn so....give it a shot
