US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps

So I was at my brother's place and he had this drum cadence, we sat there trying to figure out if there were 5 or 6 bass drums. I said that there were 5 distinct bass drums and he said there were 6. But this could all be a moot point if the cadence he downloaded isn't even one the USMC D+BC does. In my opinion it was the Texas Aggie band, but that's a different argument all together. Does anyone know how many bass drums the Marines use and if you also knew, how many bass drums the Texas Aggie Band uses? Thanks

I've never seen the Commandant's Own with anything other than four.

I think your right Dave, I can't remember seeing more than 4 last year.... but then again I could be wrong.

And if you are asking about UT... they definitely had 5, at least thats how many they had at the Holiday Bowl.

the aggie band is Texas A and M

The USMC uses a standard drumline size. 6 snares, 3 tenors, 4 bass and 3 plates. It's only the last couple years that the snareline went above 6.
