Galen
From the deep dark forests of the Pacific Northwest, a powerful force has awake, er, awoke, er, been aroused! Stainless Steel Brass Amalgamated (aka "SSBA") hails from Seattle WA, and will be making its DCPA debut this spring. Our show has a spicy Cuban flavor to it; in fact, every piece is connected with Cuba in some manner. Our opener is the well-known El Congo Valiente, from Stan Kenton's "Cuban Fire Suite" The ballad is George Gershwin's "Cuban Overture" The feature song is "Welcome to Cuba" from the movie "Die Another Day", a song recently made famous by those young-un's from Rosemont. We close the show with a second Kenton song, "La Suerte De Los Tontos" Enjoy the sounds of Stainless Steel Brass Amalgamated, coming to a senior fantasy circuit near you, this spring!
