ferb27
And all this time I thought I was the only one that had these dreams (nightmares). With me, I've usually forgotten part of my uniform or my horn, and am pillaging the busses and equipment truck looking for a spare while the corps is marching into the stadium... For a great allegory to this dream, check out "The Actor's Nightmare" by playright Christopher Durang. It's a short play about an accountant who gets thrown out on a stage not knowing the story he's in, and of course, his lines. Very funny, and close to home. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well with the amount of stuff we had on that uniform, it was hard not to forget stuff in real life. I've had similar nightmares myself. One nightmare actually came true when I was still marching. I forget what year, but my mother dropped off me and my brother's (grammar?) uniforms to the cleaners a day or two before a parade we were in. I think it might have been the Memorial Day triple header in fact. Well, she forgot to pick up the uniforms and here are me and my brother in Revere, with our shoes, hats, horns and accessories but no uniforms. I never saw my mother cry until that day. She thought we were going to get thrown out because of that. But thanks to George B. being a pack rat, there were spare (granted old spare) uniforms lying around for us to squeeze into.
