GULF COAST SOUND CAMP NO. 2

Recommended Posts

A very warm Merry Christmas to you and your family from Gulf Coast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps in sunny Houston, TX!

Also to all our interested potential 2006 members:

Our next full day camp/practice/rehearsal is January 14th, 2006. If you missed camp no. 1 in December, you don't want to miss this one. We are moving ahead at a fast and furious pace. There are still a few remaining spots (1-3) available in most sections, come out and spend a drum corps day with us!

If you are in Houston, and have some transportation issues with getting to camp, please reply to info@gulfcoastsound.org so that we can start working on arrangements.

Thanks!! and Rock On!

Happy New Year from Gulf Coast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps from Houston, TX!

2005 was a banner year for GCS in terms of recruiting, fundraising, improvement, organization and overall achievement. We have so much to be thankful for, including our fans out there in the drum corps community. We are also very grateful to Rittenhouse Baptist Church for allowing us to use their excellent facilities to practice. This relationship will continue in 2006 and hopefully beyond.

We are eagerly anticipating the new year and all the future successes we will surely achieve as an all-age musical marching entity in the Houston and South Texas area. Given the success our activity has seen in 2005 (26 competing corps in Scranton), it will be very exciting to see how much more drum corps grows and improves as an artform in 2006 and beyond.

Yeah, what he said!!!

We are organized and ready to go!!! Some of us even have music memorized for the show---in JANUARY! Can you believe that? It sounds so cool we couldn't help ourselves. If you miss the January camp on the 14th you will be missing out on a great time.

Besides, when Cory gets permission from "ma" to come play he will have more fun if all his friends are there ;)

Football is officially over in the state of Texas, lets take back the field for its other use. DRUM CORPS! b**bs

If you are a college student that just didn't get enough marching in this last fall (yes even at the Rose Bowl), there is still time to come down to Houston and join it's only Drum and Bugle Corps.

Come and see why there is no comparison, come and join something growing and getting better every day. Come and make a difference in a motivated, talented and HUNGRY group of performers.

Our camps are held off of I -45 North, just north of the 610 loop. Check out our interactive online map for details:

GCS CAMP SITE

Camps start at 9:45 am on Saturdays.

See ya!
