nobscorpsguy Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Drum Corps Japan Results - 1st Place - Yokohama Scouts 59.1 2nd Place - Yokohama Inspires 58.7 3rd Place - Tokyo Pheonix - 58.1 4th Place - Imperial Sound - 54.4 5th Place - Phoenix Regiment - 54.2 6th Place - Cherry Blossoms - 51.3 7th Place - Sonic Lancers - 42.8 High Brass - Yokohama Inspires High Percussion - Yokohama Inspires High Visual - Tokyo Phoenix High Color Guard - Cherry Blossoms "Spirit of Arita" Award (Division 1 Champion) The Yokohama Scouts "Spirit of Konno" Award (Division 2 Champion) Imperial Sound The score is out of 70 because there were only 5 judges (all from DCI). It was a great show. hmmm... would LOVE to see a recap. Have they been posted yet? Congrats to all over there, but especially to my Inspires friends. Weren't scouts pretty far back at All-Japan? I can't remember. I guess I could not be so lazy and check the archives hee hee hee Anyway. Always super proud to be associated with Inspires - just an amazing and talented group of people and performers. Can't wait for Gold week in May!! The Western Corps Connections 2006 made a big success featuring various units from the western part of Japan with Mr. Adam Rapa (What a guy!!) from Blast! I was absent, though. I'm super excited about the ideas being looked at for this year. It's been a great 2 years so far with Inspires. It doesn't hurt that those kids can play absolutely anything you give them. The mellophones were downright freaks. I am actually already starting on the new book.
