Oooooohhh, you mean the nerds who fell on their sopranos, flattened the bells and their tone and to this day get the leads water?!?!?! revo_mello
my horn instructor said that he always notices an airyness in my tone after I play mello..he's noticed this for a few years actually.. now he wants to me to play my concert horn in pep band. I played my concert horn in a Jazz band last year...they had to convert the 1st trombone part to treble cleft and so I could have some music... :lolhit: It was fun though
revo_mello
lol...This joke is kinda old, but it's funny and just in case none of you ever heard it before: How many horn players does it take to screw in a lightbulb? One, but it will take her/him 2 hours to check for proper alignments and stuff. HAHAHAHHAAA! That is soooo us...hehe...have to be perfect... johnric
unless i'm mistaken, the Mello is a derivitive of the concert Eb horn. i don't know how many of you have seen or heard one it looks like a tiny traditional baritone. it's mouthpiece is slightly larger than a trumpet but much deeper. My wind ensamble in HS had two of the actual horns but they were never used.

TealSoundMellophone
Military bands march concert horns. Other than that I don't think I know anyone who don't march mellophones. I could do both.
