Doreen Thanks for the kind words, Doreen..... and thanks for volunteering to be three different people during the awards ceremony!!! LOL I guess Bob Holton can relax now... before the show, he was worried about what the attendance might be. The place was FULL. Good job, Sky! patrickzampetti
Should be a cool show - Hey, wasn't this the show title for the old indoor concerts at Carnegie Hall? Or was it MSG? Or was it Newark Symphony Hall or the Garden State Arts Center? I marched with the Cranford Patriots from 1973 to 1976 and we used to compete in the afternoon version of the standstill show. I remember 1975 well...the winner of the afternoon show got to play in the "Evening with the Corps" show that night. The newly formed merger corps; Crossmen won the afternoon show in Newark that year. It was their first competetion of any kind as far as I know. I later went on to teach percussion with George Hopkins in 1981 and Thom Hannum in 1982-1984 with the Cadets. Both marched snare for the Crossmen in 75. The older we get, the better we were.
