Check out Sky's new look

Recommended Posts

Sky has just about completed it's new look for the website. Thanks to the expertise of Sky alumus Joe Chizek along with help from Lisa Venezia our former webmaster (she had to quit drum corps to get married  - SHE'LL BE BACK :P ) and our new webmaster Jean Sowinski and others it's finally up and running.

If you haven't been there yet, check it out and you can check out our brand new video. We're new to all this technology, but we're getting it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The website has a lot of new fun features like our member of the week and Feature of the week section. There's also information about our upcoming show, which by the way is selling fast, so if you're in the show and have family or friends who want tickets, have them get them while they can.

Sign the guestbook while your there. HAVE A GREAT SUMMER EVERYONE AND SEE YA AT CHAMPIONSHIPS.

May 10, 2006. In order to keep up with new technology, and add more user-friendly features to their website, the N. Y. Skyliners have launched a new website, which can be found at the field corps URL: http://newyorkskyliners.org.

Users are redirected to the new site, which allows you to choose from the N. Y. Skyliners’ Competition Corps’ and Alumni Corps’ home pages and schedules, and the Alumni Association’s home page. A link for the Skyliners’ “An Evening with the Corps” DCA-sanctioned show (which is being held on July 1st, 2006 in Dover, NJ) brings users to show and ticket information, directions, and advertising/sponsorship information.

You will also find “New York Skyliner of the Week” and a “Corps Happenings Page”; an updated Multi Media Page; and a more dynamic calendar. Keep checking out the site as other new features become functional to keep you posted on the Skyliners’ latest events, schedule, and news.

The new website was designed and created by N. Y. Skyliner Alumnus, Joe Chizek. We thank him for his many hours of labor on the new site and for listening to the varied requests, dreams and ideas that the Administration shared with him. Dan Hines spearheaded the transition and assisted Joe Chizek. Dan Hines is a Skyliner marching member, member of the Alumni corps, and “An Evening with the Corps” Show Coordinator.

The Skyliners would like to thank Lisa Venezia, Sky’s webmaster, for the years of dedicated hard work she gave to the corps’ website and for her help during the transition. Jean Sowinski will be taking on the position of Webmaster and Joe Chizek will become Assistant Webmaster. Lisa is retiring as marching member of the field corps, but will remain active on Sky’s support staff.

Go to our website for updated information, directions, and information: http://www.newyorkskyliners.org, or contact Holly Marino, Assistant Director at exiggy1@yahoo.com.
