mvbailey12
I am going to DCA this year and am looking to possibly do a solo piece for I & E. I have NO clue as to what to play. I want something somewhat challenging, but not something that I am going to butcher. I was wondering if all you big studs and studettes have any recommendations on a piece and where I can find the piece. Thanks alot! FrankBeMe
I wrote my own for this last season. This year I've gathered some stuff up that I'm going to mix together and have the greatest solo of all time--for DCA. I'll probably do something different for DCM because they're more into technique where DCA is more into entertainment. Try to find something for treble clef baritone...Arban's book, high school contest solos--might check with one of the local band directors if they have any in stock. Or, do a Google search for baritone solos and order from the publisher...or just write your own and base it on your strengths like I did mine. WoobieATL
Also, etudes for Cello are pretty easy to transpose over to bari/eph.
