ScribeToo
well that was the worst season and BD is competition that kept scores up. when it is a finalist corp vs corps that didn't make it to finals it brings scores down. THats why when 2 top 6 (madison and bluecoats) compete with cavies the scores are expected to go up. BD was only over there for a couple of weeks. It's not like the whole season was shot in their absence.. and their show wasn't exactly blowing everyone out of the water last year, either. Besides.. BD left AFTER the west coast leg where they meet with SCV at every show on every weekend.. so I don't think BD leaving was the reason SCV had an off year. Vanguard's scores last season were based on how well Vanguard stacked up (or didn't stack up) to the sheet criteria... not how well BD did in comparison. X DM
Does anyone think that glassmen going to Europe will affect other corps or just glassmen. It depends. Some Corps do well when they come back from such an overseas tour, and some not so well after returning as hoped. Madison went overseas in '88 I believe. Before they left they were doing just so so. When they came back, they were on fire, and won DCI that year. Edited June 20, 2006 by X DM
