gbass598 Posted July 4, 2006 Share Posted July 4, 2006 I dont know what will happen with the Cavaliers and Jim Casella but two other similiar situations currently:Colin McNutt and Madison- He endores Pearl they are a long time Yamaha corps. This is his third year there. Paul Rennick and Phantom: Paul just became a Dynasty endorser thru his UNT teaching gig. and Phantom is still w/ Pearl Drums. Who knows where this will lead. If Paul Rennick is still there, I would expect to see Regiment using Dynasty equipment in 2008. I've been told their current Pearl contract is through the 2007 season. xelanosa Posted July 4, 2006 Share Posted July 4, 2006 An insider tells me that the next years Cavalier percussion section will have either a choice:Jim Casella will either: A ) leave and not be percussion caption head B ) lose his contract with Pearl C ) Ditch the Yamahas and go.....Pearl. So, next year it's either no yamaha or no casella. Any thoughts? I'm not a Cavie insider, but as someone who knows Jim (or at least I knew him back in 91) and as someone who has played on Pearl drums, I'd take the Jim/Pearl combo any day of the week.
