27thAvantCadets Posted August 8, 2006 Share Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) Yes, thats right folks, The new kids are gearing up for their first appearance at a DCA event! the stand-still exhibition that is schedule for pre-show at 7:15pm will be the corps first appearance at a drum corps sanctioned show. Although finishing their second full year of parades and exhibitions and having the notches in the belt and the shin-splints and blisters to prove it, the corps is really excited to bring their 2006 parade routine to Dietz stadium in Kingston this Saturday night. It is always exciting to watch this activity grow with new corps. It is equally exciting to bring pagentry of drum corps and the thrill of hearing the crowd cheer for you to the new members. I am truly excited for this step in the evolution and growth of the Excelsior family. Come out and support the new kids~! See you there. The corps took to the field for the very first DCA debut and performed our 2006 parade rep. The energy was high and the nerves were apparent, but the corps came through with flying colors. That is it folks, it is official, Excelsior is on its way! Thanks again for all the kind words!
