loud_lancer
Pity, I would've liked to have a recording of that crappy weather for posterity. You know, to show the folks back home just how bad it really was. Wimps!
kevingamin
Here's the message from BVP: The video production of the DCA World Championships preliminary competition created one of the most challenging in the history of BVP Marching Videos. Ernestos’ constant rain and high winds literally soaked cameras, microphones, cables and crew.Following the CorpsVets prelims performance, I made a decision to stop the video production. At that time the equipment was saturated and I felt as if we were jeopardizing the equipment and may be creating problems that we could not rectify before Sunday’s Alumni Spectacular and the Finals competition. As a result of that decision there is no video production of the last 9 corps that performed Saturday night during prelims. They include the Buccaneers, Empire Statesmen, Bushwackers, Caballeros, Renegades, Minnesota Brass, Brigadiers, Carolina Gold and the CorpVets. We are making adjustments on our prices and all individual Finals DVDs will include the retreat, awards and encore performances. The prelims package will also be discounted to reflect the number of corps performances on the DVD. BVP Marching Videos takes pride in the quality of production it provides DCA. Unfortunately, the elements were beyond our control and caused an early shutdown. The Alumni Spectacular and the Finals performances are fine and reflect a much higher quality video and audio production. You can see the pricing adjustments here on the website. Shadow_7
Does this mean that those of us who bought the videos at the show and paid cash will be getting a refund check? I had assumed that the at show discount was for buying it at the show. Not because of the quality or quantity of the video. And it wasn't much of a discount.
