3rd_Star_Brigade
Have the Raiders/Revo/Impulse/Fever Annouced they are going into DIvision 2? I have not seen any formal annoucements. Does it really matter? People said that they would most likely be div ii. If they aren't, I'll just change it back.

tubawarrior
VK needs to be evaluated to even be accepted as a DCI competing corps, right now they have no official status. Any corps can say they want to be div II over div III....no corps can say which division they will be in until they see how many members they get. As far as the div II returning to div II corps rule, I'd have to see that rule book to believe that, but regardless, this is VK, not the Velvet Knights (who were div I when they folded)...as far as DCI (and more importantly, the IRS) is concerned this is a brand new group, so they don't get any bumps based on a previous corps. vkeson
OK so we all agree then... Class By Itself: VK Division II: Spartans ~ Tarot Jersey Surf ~ Snapshots From An American Journey Blue Devils "B" ~ Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets ~ Raiders ~ Revolution ~ Tres Maestros Impulse ~ Fever ~ Memphis Sound ~ Oregon Crusaders ~ Teal Sound ~ Division III: Dutch Boy ~ 2007: A Space Odyssey Capital Sound ~ Ooh La La: Le français Spectaculaire HYPE ~ The Dark Side of Oz ***edited to add Teal - VK loves Teal Sound! vkeson
...but regardless, this is VK, not the Velvet Knights... yeah, they're actually coming out as the Velour Knaves Velour – a velvetlike fabric of rayon, wool, or any of several other natural or synthetic fibers, used for outerwear and upholstery. Knave – an unprincipled, untrustworthy, or dishonest person. Edited November 25, 2006 by vkeson

tubawarrior
since when did Raiders and Revolution move to div II? they have been in div III for a while, and I haven't seen anything...and as far as we know now Impulse has not yet moved back into div II...remember folks, "the final date for declaring a division is May 1 of each competitive season." so any of these corps could change at any time between now and than. Looking at the tour schedule on dci.org pulldown list, they have the following corps all listed as div II: BDB Colt Cadets ECJ Jersey Surf Memphis Sound Oregon Crusaders Spartans Teal Sound Vanguard Cadets and in div III: Vision Elite 7th Regiment BDC Blue Saints Capital Sound Citations Dutch Boy Fever HYPE Gold Impulse Jester Mystikal Quest Racine Scouts Raiders Revolution Spirit of Newark/New Jersey Spokane Thunder St. John's Targets Yamato with the exception of VK who is not on the list because they have not been evaluated left, I think we should go by this list as a definitive answer of division lineups until otherwise has been announced by the corps or by DCI Edited November 24, 2006 by tubawarrior
