darkman
”Dreamscapes” - So Cal Dream Drum & Bugle Corps Irvine, CA — December 3, 2006– So Cal Dream Drum and Bugle Corps, who brought you the exciting music of Kill Bill Volume 1 & Volume 2, has set a new course and have engaged the warp engines as they proudly announce their 2007 production of “Dreamscapes” featuring musical selections from the science fiction icon, Star Trek. Not one to present “just another show of Star Trek music,” So Cal Dream will be stamping their brand of entertainment and quality sound on some stellar music this season. The show will open with the bold and aggressive “Star Trek Generations Overture”. Staying true to their southern California heritage, So Cal Dream’s second tune will be from the Star Trek-Voyage Home soundtrack, featuring the jazz/rock fusion sounds of “Market Street” by the acclaimed “Yellowjackets”. After that, be prepared to be soothed by what has been described as one of the most beautiful and underrated movie themes ever—the theme from Star Trek-First Contact. And what better way to conclude the show by featuring some good old battle music, including the famous “Klingon Theme”, “Battle in the Mutura Nebula”, as well as other well-known and loved music from the original series…and much much more. “This season promises to be the most exciting for the corps,” enthuses director Seth Gambetty. “We are fortunate to have an organization that is solid entering it’s fifth year of competition. There’s extraordinary talent in the corps, more talent interested in making our corps better than ever, and a truly ‘out of this world’ design and instructional staff. We have all the ingredients to proudly represent southern California in the all-age drum corps activity with our greatest show to date.” So Cal Dream will be making their third appearance at the Drum Corps Associates Championships in Rochester, New York, and will be defending their Class A High Brass Title. Yaeh--he wasn't bad at all, especially since he'd never played with Dream and we didn't even get to know his name. :P
