Capital Brass! remaining rehearsals

Recommended Posts

REHEARSALS: Wednesdays: March 7th and 14th - 6:30-8:30+

Verdoy Fire Dept - Rt 7, Latham

Preparing for Bridgeport

Added another SUPER mello last night, who just sight-read the whole Bridgeport show. Welcome Bob!!!!! What a section this is going to be!

We had to move a guy over to trumpet to make room. At least for the time being, the mello section is FULL!

That gives us 25 on board (8/6/6/3 - plus 2 perc). And should be 19 going to Bridgeport with us.

WE ARE JUST TWO BRASS PLAYERS SHORT OF OUR SPRING GOAL OF 25 !!!!!

Could still use 1 or 2 trumpets.

We moved a tuba over to bari; so we now have a NICE marching tuba available!

And I just picked up one more baritone, so we have one new opening there.

Come on in.

IT'S TIME TO ROCK ALBANY WITH DRUM CORPS AGAIN!!!

We are now down to ONE spot open for Harrisburg.

We would take a Trumpet, a Bari OR a Tuba.

Only room for 21 in that show; and we can do nothing about it. So step up while the last opportunity is there!

We now have a total roster of 9/6/6/3 (and 2 perc) and 20 players signed up for Harrisburg.

We would accept a couple of alternates (trumpet or baritone), and of course, we have a BIG performance schedule AFTER Harrisburg, so we could still take a few players for the larger group.

Get to rehearsals NOW, to prepare for our performances this summer, including:

Our pre-show appearance at the 7/2 DCI show in Glens Falls.

and - we'll be organizing some sort of ensemble(s) to go to Rochester. (totally optional, and depending on membership interest in the event)

PLUS... wait til you see what's NEXT!

If you're in the Albany area; have some practical experience; and are looking for somewhere to play...

What are you waiting for?

Oh... and bring your own Bb horn, if possible.

We have only ONE bari and ONE tuba available, for now.
