Hey, I believe 2 whole rotations (including the one rotation of your wrist throwing the rifle up) is a single. Then 4 rotations is a double. 6 is a triple. So on and so forth. I'm pretty sure that's right, but don't take my word for it!

Hope this helps,

count the number of times it goes around (I always count the ups).

Came here to say this. Right on, Jak.

My teacher used to say build consistency at low tosses; you haven't mastered anything until you can perform it three times in a row without mistakes. He was a consistent AF, mid-90s Cavie. In building that consistency, learn to count the "ups" out loud by saying "out" on the release and counting after that. Without focusing too much on it, you'll start to build a sense for when a release feels off (for any number of reasons.)

The best thing about our activity is reward for recovery from mistakes. You'll never always be perfect, but with enough commitment to practice, you'll build consistency AND the ability to recover when needed.
