Rawtv_JohnChristensen
Or how about an even better question, why isn't DCP leading the way in terms of social media? So many posibilities NOT being realized. What a shame... Social media like Youtube? Get real... There is plenty of opportunity to produce and post quality programming that everyone can enjoy and sponsors will benefit. Don't get me wrong. If you’re into shaky low res camera shots with distorted sound then by all means let’s get everyone to break copyright law and sneak cameras into shows and muddy the waters. Youtube has its fans, but it will never replace quality programs like we see on A&E, Discovery Channel and if we do it right... DCTV. Dave
Yes, a good deal of what's on Youtube is pure amateur hour, but there's a surprising amount of stuff that's had quite a bit of effort put into it. As technology gets cheaper and easier, more people are putting their own voices out there. Television is losing viewers every day, the Internet is the new medium, and "social media" is its news and entertainment.
CavAlum
DCTV already exists in a wonderful establishment, Patrick's on Thrid, in St. Peter, MN. They have multiple TV's the play 24 hours of drum corps shows, and they have World Famous Patty Melts, and are the home of the current DCA-A World Champs the Govenaires. I now have a reason to visit St. Peter, MN.
