  1. As someone said before, the uniforms can be treated as "costumes" sometimes, like in the case of "Angles and Demons." The show wouldn't have been the same without the split uniforms. I actually would have been surprised with they DIDN'T use the white uniforms. They have them....they are doing a Christmas show....why not? Though next season, I would like to see the good old normal uniforms back.
  2. Well, here is the repertoire: Main Titles from the Bourne Identity Burly Brawl from The Matrix Bourne Gets Well from The Bourne Identity Trinity Definitely from The Matrix Revolutions Treadstone Assassins from The Bourne Identity Bullet Time from The Matrix So it's one of those. I'm not familiar with the Bourne and Matrix soundtracks.
  3. OK. I haven't read the posts about the weekend until now.
  4. The second camp was actually my first camp (first camp with a Drum Corps PERIOD). I know Cadets2 won't go out and actual say this, but numbers are pretty low, and it's making the DCA circuit a much better idea. It's a great group, and I myself am wondering why people don't want to come. There were almost 700 people with interest requests, but the numbers are not showing. Cadets2 has a lot of potential, and I'm very excited to march my first drum corp season with them based on this past weekend's camp. Now, even though they are competing in DCA, Cadets2 will be...around. I'm guessing members aren't allowed to say much right now, but they have some awesome things planned for the season. If there are any low brass and mellophone players still interested to march, head to the Cadets2 camp in January. It will be worth your while to see what Cadets2 has in store.
  5. In Soviet Russia, show writes you. In Soviet Russia, Drum and Woodwind Corp (DWI)
  6. OK. After going to the December camp, this is NOT the official title of the show as previously stated. Perilous Skies is part of the show, but there is a lot more to it then just that. I would like to wait for an official announcement (possibly coming really soon) before saying anything about it, since it's not my place to do so. But it's a pretty awesome show IMO. And does relate to kicking off a brand new corps in a pretty cool way. I don't see any reason why audiences would not enjoy the show.
  7. Cadets2 is doing Perilous Skies. All potential members from Cadets 2 got an email from Hopkins stating this. Looks to be based off Cadets '92. OK. 8. Was this on recently? I want to find this episode now.
  9. Again, thanks for all the input guys. The reason I asked for some Cadets2 information is that the website doesn't have as much detail about things compared to other corps websites. The C2 website is just like "Hey. We're Cadets2. Here's the audition dates and fees." But there are some other people helping me out with some corps to join, and I'm even considering Raiders for DCI Open. A lot of the other corps I'm looking at seem to have good money support and carpool organization. As far as Cadets2 goes, I ordered the audition packet already, and they are getting ready to send them out on the 10th. That should fill me in more. So I'll work things out. I have a lot of choices to choose from (Cadets2, Raiders, Windsor, Bushwackers, Shenandoah Sound, and Buccaneers.) I'm just looking for a something good to start with so I get enough experience to possibly audition for World Class sometime. And don't worry Olive. Yes, I was looking more for Cadets2 information, but seeing some other options isn't bad either, concerning money and transportation more then anything.
  10. Wow. Thanks a lot for the input. I actually didn't realize there were as many corps "close" by around. I'm going to do some research, but I'm glad I got choices. I'll still see about Cadets2. The packets are being sent out next week, so I'll read through it. But thanks again for the replies.
  11. Every year around this time, I've been feeling the urge to do drum corps in some kind of form. I just want more "marching band/drum corp" to do. I live in Maryland, so there isn't anything DCA or DCI around here at all. After looking at several corps, I'm looking at Cadets2. It's a 3 hour drive (though I don't own a car), and it should be a little cheaper and less time consuming with it being DCA weekend style. I haven't signed up for the audition camp yet, but I did order the information packet/audition book just to get an idea, so I can't wait to get it. But what should I expect at these auditions? Are they expecting as high caliber as someone auditioning for The Cadets? Or are they loosing up just a bit to provide more opportunity to more people with it being DCA. I know it won't be easy no matter what, and I feel pretty confident, but I'm just not sure what everyone is expecting out of this, with it being new. Also, I'm going to have issues getting a ride there every weekend, and definitely money concerns. That's something I shouldn't worry about until I actually get in first. I'm 18 and in my first semester of college. I would just like to be able to do Drum Corps before I get too old and regret not doing it. I'm also a Trumpet player by the way. It's something I really want to do, and I want an idea of what to expect.
  12. I'm considering a Blu-Ray purchase this year. Maybe get 2010 on Blu-Ray too since it will be a bit cheaper (or they'll make some combo pack or something.)
  13. We don't even get to watch The Cadets play? *mad face* EDIT: Oops. I'm SO sorry. I didn't mean for it to post 5 times. Forgive me. EDIT 2: Thanks for whoever deleted the extra posts.
  14. I'm loving this webcast. Plugged my laptop into my TV and sound system, and it's great. I don't have the best internet speed, but in Hifi mode and on my TV, it's looking just a step down from DVD quality. The sound is pretty good (not THE best, but still up there.)
  15. I'm considering paying the $30 for the live semi finals stream since I didn't get a chance to go to the theater today to see the shows. I went to the first show that was in theaters back in June and I loved it, and I really want to see all the changes to the shows.I have some questions: -Is it worth it? I might use a gift card I have, so it's not from my own pocket -When does the stream start and what is it showing (warm-ups, commentary, what corps?) -Is it multicam? -How's the quality of the stream? Thank you.
