I had the opportunity to talk with two guys who were manning a booth at the Wisconsin State Band Championships for a new corps trying to start in Northern Wisconsin called Chippewa Valley Brigade. From what they were saying, the organization has been working hard to make it a reality, and this year they seem to have everything in place to make a splash on the scene.

They both indicated that the group plans on easing onto the scene, focusing on getting onto the field and limiting their tour schedule the first couple of years.

While the timing to start a new group doesn't seem like the best, they at least sound like they understand the difficulties and aren't trying to bite off more than they can chew for the first few years.

I'll be interested to see how the progress through DCI evaluations, and hopefully see them on the field this year...

Wish 'em the best. I know that organization has been trying to get rolling since '05.

I just wanted to say that their uniform colors are really cool, unlike anything else in DCI. And like Legends, they'll be successful because they've already been at it already for quite a while and most likely have all the resources they need to keep growing.

Well, the more the merrier! Can't wait to see them duke it out with Magic of Mobile!!!
