  1. Wow... My thoughts are with Joel's loved ones, and his drum corps family. :(
  2. I can see it fine, Jeff. It's some hot, red, evil looking chick in a bikini.
  3. Awww, now I want to go get a rainstick before I go to Regal tomorrow!
  4. I'm buying mine tonight online, because I have to pick my brother up from school tomorrow beforehand and won't have time to stand in line... I didn't think it'd be a problem?
  5. I'll be at the Royal Palm theatre, which is all of a mile and a half from my house. :)
  6. I'll be there, but I'm definitely part of the teenage crowd.
  7. Stephanie, I've got pictures as well. If there's anything you want, just let me know. :) Now, as for the corps... I didn't get to see Teal or Kiwanis, which made me upset because one of the main reasons I went up was to see the kids I know marching Kiwanis. It's okay though, my $20 was well spent. For some reason, I only remember Magic making the "M", and not too much else. Spirit was good, Glassmen was good which surprised me- Not a dig on them, I was just surprised at how well things are coming together so early in the season. As for the extended intermission, I was talking to some of my friends from Boston who claimed that they saw dead bodies in the road on the way. That was a little more information than I needed at the time, but I was glad to see that everyone had arrived in one piece. Crown- What can I say. Thumbs up, guys. Boston was good, but the black panels at the front sideline were distracting. BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Blew me away. I will be very hard pressed to predict them not making top 6. It was funny to see the kids sitting in front of us from a local HS with that very distinct "WTF?!" look on their faces when the crowd started yelling. We laughed at them and then explained that it was "blue", not "boo". Fantastic show, and as Stephanie said, the guard was incredibly clean. I'm definitely a fan. Cadets also knocked my socks off! I found the show to be very WGI-like, down to the staging, the amped vocals, the guard unis... But what sucked me in was the strong concept. The moving maze of horns that trapped the girl toward the end was breathtaking, and it's my opinion that they have a very good shot at first or second this year. Cavies... I don't know. I liked the show, yes, but it just didn't say Cavaliers to me. I didn't really understand the whole firefighter/ladder tie-in, but I probably missed something. And I was kind of upset when I found out that retreat was DM only. That makes for nowhere near as impressive of pics. This is, of course, only my two cents, and I'm in no means an expert of any kind. Just a good ol' fan. :)
  8. You know, I had totally forgotten about this until you mentioned it. It happened at out theatre too. PS... Hey Trixie!
  9. I enjoyed seeing the history. It was cool to see that there were so many people from around here (Royal Palm Beach, FL) who are in to corps. The quality of the older stuff was a little lacking, especially visual-wise, but it was still awesome. I can't wait until quarterfinals, I'm DEFINITELY going this year.
  10. I know this isn't Ebay or anything, and yes, I am new to DCP, but I have an offer to make to all of my fellow corps buddies. In order to pay off my assessment, I will be selling corps bracelets. They are very cute and mine gets commented on all the time! This is a picture of what the bracelets look like- keep in mind that yours will have your corps name and colors. http://www.filehigh.com/files/gaa/thekelin.../HWbracelet.jpg If anyone is interested, please let me know via reply or email. Since I cannot predict who will order one, I make them on a request only basis. They will be $8, with $1 of each bracelet going towards supplies and the rest helping to pay my marching member dues. Thanks in advance for supporting me and my corps! :) -Kelli
