I have to say, I come to these general discussion forums to be amused most of the time. I thought the Kilties/Bandettes comparison was a cute and lighthearted comment, but wow... people get offended really easily! It's upsetting to see everyone jumping down each other's throats over silly things like that. Why can't we all just get along? B)

Yay, that's why I love drum corps :)

It's been silly things like winterguard shows and mandatory sorority stuff and pep band, but next week (FINALLY) is spring break, so I actually have a chance to come to rehearsal! It's pretty much the same as last year, I can't come as regularly to rehearsals as I would like until the end of the semester. Not that I'm reeeeeally needed until we get outside anyway! Though Derick said he wants me to come back because he's sick of flapping his hands...

The rookout trumpet soloist from Crossmen 04 was on staff last year, and I know a Cadets 03 ageout that doesn't have his music degree yet that was the trumpet tech at SCV last year. And Tom... you are old. ^0^ See you tomorrow!

Exactly. Being 19 myself, and that many of the Sunrisers are around my age, it really is the only way to describe the corps. I believe our youngest member last year was a Contra that clocked in at... 14? And we definitely don't "ease-out" the more "senior" members. Right Tom? And Larry? ^0^ Yeah. We're all-age.

So Tom, are we going to be getting any info on the next rehearsal?

I missed you guys too! It went pretty well... I got called back for colorguard. I have to decide over the next week or two if I am going to go back there to fight for a spot in April, or if I'll take a year off and go back on the podium with Sun. You guys will know as soon as I do!!! Glad to hear the open house went so well!
