  1. Liz, That was at the Venice, right? You had a look of bewilderment on your face? : ) Thank you very much, my dear friend! You know that I'm grateful to you, as well, for being such a close, supportive, and loving friend these last five years! You were one of the people that is responsible for helping me to maintain my sanity!!! And of course you were one of the people responsible for my being awarded with this great honor! Thanks for always being there, for making things fun, and for truly being a sister to lean on for support. Love... Jimmy
  2. Ray... Thank you very much for the beautiful words! I am truly grateful to have been a member of the Bridgemen since March of '77! It is the one love affair that has never let me down. : ) Of course, I learned a great deal from you, and I was very happy that you were able to join us once again, last season. You add so much to everything, wherever, and whenever you contribute your vast knowledge, experience, (of drum corps, and life!) and incredible sense of humor! I have truly been blessed, and I am a very lucky, and fortunate man! Thanks also for not blowing the karma! LOL It's gonna be such a fun, and amazing rehearsal!!! Wishing you all the best, and hope to see you very soon, even if you just visit for an afternoon. Your grateful student, and friend... Jim
  3. Madonna was in our mace line! That's true...Jim marched only two seasons, but those were two incredible seasons! Thank you very much! I am very proud and honored to be part of this special group!
  4. Really enjoyed listening to the mini corps at the after-show party! Added a nice touch to a great show, and was fun, and exciting! It's a shame that they're not going to be there this year. Any exhibition possibilities?
  5. ####, Ray! You're good!!! You are missed greatly! Please stop by and visit us, very soon! You're gonna like what you hear! (The BMO is back!!!)
  6. Hey folks... A SURPRISE announcement will be forthcoming on Sunday, March 7th, in regard to the upcoming Bridgemen rehearsal on Saturday, March 20th!!! I am not at liberty to disclose this information at this time, but suffice to know that you may want to mark your calendars, and plan on a visit to see the Bridgemen rehearse that day, from 12 noon, until 4:00 p.m.!!! Something special will be taking place... More to follow on the 7th!!! HYPE!!!!!! JJ
  7. Congratulations to all inductees!!! Thanks for posting, Charlie! A special shout out to four individuals that I know quite well! Chuck Bishop, you taught the bananas really well, (and THIS DM, also!) and you were a GREAT DM for Cabs Alumni!!! Thank you! Charlie Bruen, who taught Math at my alma mater, Bergenfield; and whom I used to watch marching in Sky! Thank you! Ray Priester, whom I came to know in recent years as the director of Sky Alumni! Great job, Ray, and thanks for all the support that you've given to the Bridgemen Alumni Corps in the last several years! Thank you! And Louis Storck, for many years of dedication to the Caballeros! I enjoyed marching with you, and you have given so much to our activity! Thank you! Although I don't know the others, personally, I'm certain that the honor is well-deserved!!!
  8. On behalf of all the inductees, thank you very much! Hey Ray...you're very kind! And you're right...it's truly a shame that Gerry is not with us, anymore, to witness how much he is loved, and by so many. He was far too young to leave this world.
  9. Thank you very much, Fran! It's truly a great honor! Looking forward to seeing you and Barb at the Stinger! Thank you very much, Nose!
  10. She only marched one year. By the way... I just want to say that it's truly an honor to be included in this inaugural group of inductees! There are some very special, and amazing people alongside me, in this special group of Bridgemen!!!
  11. Thank you very much, Frank!!! Your words mean a great deal to me!!! And speaking of a legend... You're one of the greatest!
  12. Thank you very much, Dale! I am very proud, honored, and humbled... When you love something, it's easy, and of course I had great mentors, and great people around me!
  13. Gene, Count me in, also! I'm sure there are several other Bridgemen that will come on board, as well! Sounds like a really fun day, and gig!!!
  14. Saw Royal Airs a few years back in Scranton, PA, at Alumni Spectacular... AND THEY WERE!!! As are all of the other drum corps mentioned in this thread!!! SPECTACULAR!!! Glad to see that Royal Airs are back!!! P.S. - Happy belated birthday, Dale!
  15. You are correct, sir. I marched with the 1977 Bridgemen. That might be possible, but not necessarily. In my case, I marched with the 1976 Muchachos, but I did NOT witness the events of 1975.
  16. In response to the horrible experience (and it was!) of being disqualified, I quote Friedrich Nietzsche... "That which does not kill us makes us stronger."
  17. Love your excitement, and enthusiasm, Dan!!! Best of luck this year!!! I hope that you have a GREAT turnout, and an AMAZING rehearsal on the 23rd!!!!!! GO SKY!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. GREAT weekend of rehearsing for the BRIDGEMEN!!! All sections are doing extremely well! Horn spots are filling up, fast, and we might have 75 horns this year! We could still use a few more in the guard, and drum line!!! There's still time to come, and join the bananas for this season! Only 26 more dates left, including shows, parades, & rehearsals. You definitely have the time to march with us, and still maintain your busy schedule, and family life! Come on down to Bayonne, for our next rehearsal weekend on Jan. 30th, and Jan. 31st!!!
