as a former marching member and age out of Memphis Sound, i will fully support my corps, no matter what form/name/state it is in. as for some of the back and forth between current/former members or associates of the corps, i have to say it is discouraging to see family business being aired for everyone on this forum. it can be completely counter productive for someone to be "introduced" to our family in this manor. if there are issues on subject...maybe keep it to a PM or an email...

first off, the corps is not a bunch of college kids. average age of that hornline is 16 and "staying in a box and spinning around" is placing them up in the top 3 of both divisions. so they are doing something right...

next thursday's show at jackson is going to be huuuge between mempho and revo. i can't wait to be there!

nothing is keeping those lower scoring scores from leaving after their performance. that easily adds a few hours. you can't blame the system for why some corps improve at a different level than others

that statement makes no sence...this whole activity is based on a judge's opinion of a performance... ...it's only your opinion that the top corps are unjustly placed there.

typical going from a show with another corps in your division to a show being the only div 3. yet another reason why scores don't hold much weight at this point in the season. all starts taking shape when it's exclusive div2/3 shows

for me, scores and gaps hold little weight this early in the season. it starts comming into play 1-2 weeks before finals when the majority of the cleaning is done and they are playing all div2/3 shows. there really isn't a way to explain the variations...they just are what they are. keep up the hard work everybody! 901!

interesting scores for that show...cascades dropped alot of points also from K-zoo to that show.

901!!!!! just for reference...last year at evansville which was june 27th, we scored at 62.55. they seem to be doing just fine for this stage in the season and their size. keep up the hard work mempho!

there are obviously strong emotions here. from former MB3 members, mempho staff, and mempho members. i am a mempho alumni, and the last thing i want is for MY corps to suffer. i think there are all things that these three groups have seen that could have been done differently, that's a given. but instead of just harping on the wrongs of the past...why not work together on a possitive solution for the future. Lancer Lady...we've started to develop a Memphis Sound Alumni Orginazation...maybe it would be a great asset to have MB3 members involved...since it is such a young corps. those who have aged out of the corps are not necissarly as well equipped to fullly front this. i see the drop to div 3 as a strong possitive...something maybe the corps should have done from the beginning. build a stronger base of individuals who will actually stay with the corps. we've seen members go to nearly every top 12 div 1 corps after one marching with mempho. thats great...but they need to retain membership. look at what strides the blue stars made from being a div 3. all in all.....i am looking forward to yet another year of THE MEMPHIS SOUND taking the field. not only that...but for their FIFTH ANNIVERSARY!! i'd like to try and make my way to indiana for thursday...don't know if it will happen, but i hope it does. that's all i got for now 901 with all my heart
