  1. Way to go Blue!!!!! I knew you had it in ya.....this corps has so much heart.....I could not possibly be prouder!!! Wish I was in Madison to celebrate.....but I am humming Autumn Leaves to myself anyway.....
  2. YEAH BLOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't stop crying.....I wish I was there!!!! I knew you could do it!!! Six words!!!!
  3. Every year I think I couldn't possibly be prouder of my corps.....and every year they prove me wrong! I have no doubt that every kid will leave their heart and soul on that field tonight.....six words, indeed! GET IT BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
  4. I'm about to head out to celebrate my very BLOOOOOOO birthday.....so I'll take one of those "souvies" for the road! (and, no, I will NOT be driving ) And here are some Bluecoats enjoying some blue drinks during alumni weekend in 2005...go BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  5. Caption pretty much says it all..... Me in 2003 with another cool chunk of metal!
  6. Mutiny! Rebellion! Utter chaos! b**bs Such nonconformists, those drummers are.....
  7. We are the corps of the future..... See everyone on Saturday!!
  8. Let me be the first to say.... Great camp!! Even though there were probably folks that didn't chance the weather, I thought the turnout was good and a lot got done. Great to see more horns and the guard work we learned was fun (and I'm not bumped, bruised and beaten this time around....) Hope everyone made it home ok with the rain/sleet/snow stuff that snuck up on us... See you all in a month!
  9. But I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE snow!!! And we didn't get squat last weekend! *pout* Ok.....fine....no snow for tomorrow. Oh the sacrifices I make.... :P
  10. About dang time!! :D And we do have another bari coming.....Chris and I marched Bluecoats together in '91 and, like me, has been waiting for the opportunity to march again. He's very excited and I'm excited to see him again! See you all tomorrow!! (weather permitting.....)
  11. Amen! I know 25-year-olds that are "older" than me! My age changes day to day.....today I'm around 30....on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 I'll be about 95 :P I'm pushing with all my might.....after all, I'm doing this for FUN, right?? :) Time for me to take it easy on myself....Rome wasn't built in a day! Very soon this will all "click" for me and I'll wonder what it was like before I learned to execute the perfect toss ^OO^ (p.s. I *think* I've found another baritone....a former Bluecoat....I'll keep ya posted!)
  12. Yeah, the thing I have learned living here is that you take predictions seriously, but don't count on them! *cough* the 5" of snow we were supposed to get last weekend *cough* I looked through our handbook and did not see anything about an inclement weather policy *GASP* While I'm not that concerned about what it's going to do in Nashville proper....I do worry about our folks coming from the north and over that much-talked-about plateau. But I will just wait on our wise powers that be to let us know any changes in plans for the weekend.... HOPEFULLY, I will see you all the day after tomorrow!!
  13. Hee! Don't sic Stephan on me yet! How about "it sucks getting oldER"?? (implying that I am, in fact, adding a year every August, but not that I have ceremoniusly reached the universally accepted age of "old"). I just know that in years I have put behind me, bruises didn't last so long.....I could easily shake or walk off a hit or awkward twist to any part of my body....and my dormant muscles would be back in tip top shape in no time. I'm not sure what happened to that girl... Life would be easier if she came back! Saturday will be here in the blink of an eye!
  14. If the whole corps moves to Texas, I will be wishing you a Bon Voyage and calling you when it's 100+ for the 60th day in a row! Been there....done that.....and a pack of armadillos couldn't drag me back b**bs By the way, getting old sucks....my body just doesn't bounce back from injury like it used to <**>
  15. Yay!! I hope the numbers keep growing....there are those of us in other sections that are concerned about losing our "jobs" if things don't balance out :sshh:
  16. August 5th I got screwed out of marching the 1992 season by 10 days. I was very bitter when the rule changed since it was only 3 years after the fact, but I'm pretty much over it by now....
  17. Rise and shine MCLers!!! Rehersal in less that two hours! See ya there! :)
  18. 4 days (or about 3 1/2 if you want to be picky....) My bumps have gone down.....my bruises have healed....my muscles are not screaming.... BRING IT ON!!! ^OO^
  19. Aged out of junior corps in 1991..... Marching my first year of senior corps 15 years later at the age of 35.
  20. Chrome Stripper??? Makes me glad I don't eat chili! (I know....weird....) I am looking forward to Saturday! Another day of bonking my head with a pole and getting tangled up in my flag...good times ^OO^ I may need to bring a LARGE bottle of wine to the party that night..... See you all in just a few days!
