Here's a cool piece of trivia.... Nixon resigned on August 8th, 1974. We were boarding the buses in Madison to head east to Ithaca for DCI finals. Ed Weidenfelder had a small transister radio which he was listening to and some of us heard the broadcast.

I agree, really bad analogy. A better one would be that men should be allowed to join the National Organization of Women- how well would that go over?

Well, there's hope after all. Madison went back to 85 last night. That's a four point increase in 4 days. I agree there is a bigger issue of slotting. Once you're pegged, its hard to move. Now I understand Scott Stewart's aversion to worshiping scores. They can be highly subjective and erratic. There are other bigger life lessions to be gleaned from drum corps.

Just wondering if anyone saw Madison's show in San Antonio. On July 20th they were close to 85, just over 4 points behind PR, and 3 days later they fall to upper 81's almost 9 points behind Phantom. Any ideas?
