  1. Hi Tim. Great review!!!! I try to keep up with all the things that are happening overthere and this review gives a good sense. Say hi to Luigi, Trinet and Mike from me if you see them!
  2. Adams in the Netherlands is not only a manufacturer of concert percussion instruments but also a dealer and manufacturer of brass instruments. Manchester Brass is as far as I know manufactured by Kanstul, shipped to Europe and signed (sp?) with the Manchester Brass logo.
  3. Indeed, it will be very difficult to pull it off due to the differences in school holidays and age limits. BTW, Beatrix will tour in the USA next year (2004) and Jubal is planning a USA tour in 2006.
  4. Another helpfull trick to get used to breathe in through your nose while breathing out through your mouth is: Fill your mouth and cheeks with water, while pushing the water out you can easy breathe in through your nose. Get familiar with this excercise and then do it without water, just air. Hope this helps
  5. I totaly agree with that. When I first heard of the rule chance I thought "Why does Blue Devil and Cadets want to do that" They said that the Bb horns were much better to play. and I thought, is Devils hornline that bad ??? I don't think so. They were very good on to G Bugles and they are very good on the Bb. I do think that you can see them as two different flavors of icecream. I like icecream a lot but I like the G flavor a litlle bit more. It is hard to explain why, try to explain to another person why you like vanilla ice (not the fake rapper ) better than strawberry , especialy when the other likes strawberry ! For me the G sound is a brighter, more "ringing" sound. You can play in tune , you just have to work harder for it. Excuse me for the typemistakes, but on the other hand, I type better in Dutch than you do :P
  6. Well, mrshowfan... Then you'll probably like the fact that Jubal Drum and Buglecorps from Dordrecht, the Netherlands is going to play in DCI this year ! Edwin Bogert is still marching and playing some pretty solos in this years show "Variations in Jazz" Also Paul Vernes (lead sop Madison 97-98-99 I believe) and Albert Dijkshoorn (lead sop Madison 91, played the high note at the beginning of the show) are still marching and playing the highest notes in Europe !!!! Hope to see you at one of our shows.
