I love how close it is this year, Devils, Cadets and Cavies only separated by about a tenth! Wish Phantom was up there with them though. Devils seem to have the edge at the moment. I predict Blue Stars will make the evening show tonight. (12th place)

$90 is a lot, and it's why I've decided to just to get a couple pay per view webcast this summer (probably Atlanta and Semi-finals). It will be cheaper, and I don't have 8 weekends free this summer to sit down for a webcast. The good news is that DCI said that Platinum members will be able to go back and watch all the webcasted shows whenever they want. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this was one of the "Platinum" benefits. So even if you have to work that night, I think you can go back and watch it later.

Couldn't make it down to Winnebago HS this year for the dress rehearsal. Did anyone go? Looking for your thoughts/comments on this year's show. The interesting thing is that you never know what a show is going to evolve into. I remember last year I didn't come away overly impressed with the dress rehearsal of Faust, but now it's one of my favorite shows ever!

If the pay per view events are $15 or less, I might be able to stomach that and just get a couple events this summer. It's not like I have every weekend free this summer anyways. I still think $90 is a lot, even with everything you get. And it's a tremendous price increase from 2006. That's what really gets me. Raise my prices slowly, DCI, and maybe I won't notice as much!

I don't know where everyone is getting that APD's are free to Platinum members. DCI.org states: Each download will cost $2.49 for Fan Network Platinum Members and $3.49 for Gold Members. It's still one dollar less like last year, but the prices have gone up (I think).

I would have no problem paying more this year for live streaming. I understand they were working out kinks last year. But what I'm concerned with is the 123% PRICE INCREASE over last year. That is ridiculous. It's as bad as gas prices, maybe worse!

I completely agree. As much as they try to spin it, their product is a strictly seasonal (summer) product. $90 for 3 months is $30 per month, about $1 per day. That's a bit much especially when you look at last year's prices. I just contacted dci.org. Here's the letter I wrote to them... DCI.org, I writing you because after reviewing your new Fan Network, I'm concerned that the price you are charging to view the live streaming events this summer is just too high. Last year, I purchased a 3 month Season Pass subscription for the summer. I believe it was $39.95 for the entire summer. This allowed me to "tune in" to all live streaming events all summer long. This year, your Platinum membership costs $89. That's a $123% price increase from last year!!! Don't you think that's a bit steep for a one year change? I understand that you can purchase individual live streaming events separately (although I don't think the prices have been posted yet), but I imagine these will be expensive as they are single event pay-per-view subscriptions. At the end of the day, I must say that I am very disappointed in your new pricing structure. I know others are as well. Instead of trying to attact new fans with reasonable prices, you are turning them away. As a loyal DCI.org visitor and patron, I expected better from you.

I was thinking about doing the exact same thing. How much are you willing to pay for live streaming/watching events in your PJ's at home? I think there's a limit to how much some people will spend.

It's working for me, albeit a little slow. It may be my computer, or first day bugs, or lots of visitors to the site right now.

I'm wondering what everyone thinks about the new Fan Network (formerly known as Season Pass) at DCI.org. A platinum membership gains you access to all DCI live streaming events, but wasn't it $90? That seems like quite a jump from last year's 3 month Season Pass membership of $30 or $40 (can't remember exactly how much it was). Don't you think? Gold (free) members can buy live streams for individual events (similar to pay per view), but DCI.org doesn't say how much each event costs? My guess? Around $20-$30 each. Seems like prices have gone up. I may just buy one or two events this year. Semi-finals for sure, maybe one other one. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Does anyone know the live events DCI Season Pass plans on streaming this summer? I'm trying to decide whether or not to renew my subscription.

Anybody got any updates on how Phantom's show is shaping up this year? I've watch the camp videos and they are nice, but don't divulge very much (as usual, as expected). I love Phantom and I don't know how they are going to top Faust. I hope they do though!

I just got my Finals DVD's!!! Popped in Phantom's show. Watched the original show once. Amazing. Then I watched the show again with the percussion judge. Then I watched it again with the GE Music judge, who I thought was hilarious! GE Judge comments during Ave Maria: After gentle horn release section: "Ugh" During progression into the wedge: "You are touching this man to his core." After final release: "I think I need a cigarette...and I don't even smoke." I may have not gotten those quotes exactly right. That judge was awesome. I think he was tearing up at one point during Phantom. Can't wait to watch the other shows!

Anyone know when the 2006 DVD's are going to ship? Anyone know any details about how they're coming/any new special features on em?

Where is the video of Phantom playing to the Cavaliers? I'd love to see it.
